About Priyamani
Priyamani was born in Palakkad to a Tamil family. Her father, Vasudeva Mani Iyer, is a plantation businessman, and her mother, Lathamani Iyer (a Thiruvananthapuram native), was a national-level badminton player.
* Upbringing: Raised in Bangalore, she was active in extracurricular activities and sports during school and worked as a model during her studies.
* While she was in the 12th grade, renowned Tamil director Bharathiraja introduced her to the film industry. Her first film was Kangalal Kaidhu Sei (2004).
